About YutoriReiki
YutoriReiki was founded from a deep respect for the traditional Japanese practice of Reiki (靈氣) and a desire to preserve and share Jikiden Reiki Ryōhō (直傳靈氣療法) as authentically as possible.
At its heart, Reiki is beautifully simple. It offers a gentle yet profound opportunity to reconnect with our natural state of balance and tranquillity. At YutoriReiki, this simplicity is honoured — without unnecessary additions — allowing the practice to remain close to its Japanese roots.
Reiki can also invite us to experience a deeper sense of connection. While we live our everyday lives as human beings, there is another aspect of ourselves that Japanese tradition describes as Tamashii (魂) — the soul or spirit.
Through giving and receiving Reiki, we may become more aware of this quieter part of ourselves and begin to reflect upon our place within the wider world.
Jikiden Reiki teaches us that we do not exist in isolation. We are part of something greater — connected with one another, with animals, with nature and with the world around us.
With practice and experience, Reiki can gently deepen this awareness, encouraging us to recognise the spiritual within the ordinary moments of everyday life.
For YutoriReiki, this is not about religion, doctrine or imposing a particular belief. It is about honouring the philosophy and spirit within the Japanese tradition of Reiki while allowing each person to experience it in their own way.
Authentic. Simple. Grounded in Japanese tradition.

YUTORI ゆとり
Yutori (ゆとり) is a Japanese concept describing a sense of spaciousness, ease or having room within everyday life.
It is the idea of creating enough space to slow down, breathe and simply be present.
Yutori is about allowing room for rest and reflection rather than constantly rushing from one thing to the next — finding a little more ease within the rhythm of everyday life.
At YutoriReiki, this philosophy sits at the heart of everything we offer.
The demands of everyday life — stress, grief, illness, uncertainty and change — can sometimes leave us feeling tired, overwhelmed or out of balance.
Reiki (靈氣) offers an opportunity to step away from that busyness and enter a quieter space, allowing time for deep relaxation, stillness and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Reiki may help to:
✦ Encourage deep relaxation — providing quiet space for the body and mind to settle.
✦ Ease feelings of stress and tension — supporting a greater sense of calm and wellbeing.
✦ Create space to slow down — stepping away from the demands and constant stimulation of everyday life.
✦ Support natural balance — allowing time for rest, stillness and the body’s own processes.
✦ Encourage greater awareness of yourself — giving you an opportunity simply to be present, without expectation or pressure.
This is Yutori (ゆとり) — a gentle pause in a restless world.

Meet your Practitioners
The YutoriReiki Approach
At YutoriReiki, our approach is simple: to provide a quiet, welcoming space where you can step away from the demands of everyday life and experience Reiki (靈氣) without distraction or expectation.
Our practice is rooted in respect for the Japanese origins of Reiki, with particular emphasis on Jikiden Reiki Ryōhō (直傳靈氣療法) — a traditional Japanese approach passed down through direct teaching and preserved without the Western additions commonly associated with modern Reiki.
With over 15 years of experience in Reiki and energy work, Tracey offers one-to-one Reiki Ryōhō (靈氣療法) within the peaceful surroundings of the YutoriReiki Ryokan (旅館). Sessions are intentionally quiet, allowing you the space to rest deeply while your Ryōhō takes place.
Enkaku (遠隔) — distance Ryōhō — is also available for those unable to attend the Ryokan in person.
🌸 Reiki Teaching — Reiki Ryōhō (靈氣療法)
For those wishing to learn Reiki for themselves, Tracey is a qualified Shihan (師範) in Usui Reiki Ryōhō (臼井靈氣療法) and is permitted to teach and perform Reiju (靈授).
Teaching is offered on a personal, one-to-one basis, allowing time for individual guidance, practice and understanding rather than a rushed group experience.
🌸 Reiki for Animals — Dōbutsu Reiki (動物靈氣)
At YutoriReiki, the same gentle philosophy of space, stillness and respect extends to our animal companions.
We’re fortunate to have a wonderful Animal Reiki (動物靈氣) practitioner and dedicated advocate for animal wellbeing as part of the YutoriReiki team. Chloe works gently and respectfully with animals, allowing them the freedom to receive Reiki (靈氣) in a way that honours their individual temperament, comfort and natural sensitivity.
Reiki (靈氣) is offered quietly within the comfort of your own home, allowing your companion to remain where they feel safest — surrounded by the familiar sights, sounds and scents of their own environment.
There is no expectation and nothing is forced.
Your companion is free to settle, move around, rest or simply observe, engaging with the Reiki entirely in their own way and in their own time.
With a quiet and respectful presence, Reiki offers gentle support for relaxation, balance and a sense of calm and comfort.
Every animal is individual. Each session is therefore guided
There is no need to force an animal to remain still or behave in a particular way. The approach is calm, patient and guided by the needs and choices of the animal.
🌸 The YutoriReiki Philosophy
At the heart of everything we offer is Yutori (ゆとり) — creating room to slow down, breathe and simply be.
There is no pressure to talk, no expectation of a particular experience and no need to be anything other than you are in that moment.
Simply time. Stillness. Space.
YutoriReiki — a gentle pause in a restless world.
